CIFASIS, Franco-Argentine International Center for Information Sciences and Systems, is an executing unit of the National Council for Scientific and Technical Research (CONICET) located at Rosario Science and Technology Center (CCT - Rosario) . The center was created in March 2007 as a result of an agreement between the Université Paul Cézanne Aix-Marseille III (which has been part of the Aix-Marceille Université since 2012), the National University of Rosario and the CONICET to carry out collaborative research in the fields of Information and Systems Sciences. Its mission is to promote the generation and dissemination of scientific knowledge through research and higher education in the following areas:

Although as of 2015, the CIFASIS depends solely on CONICET and UNR, its relationship with three French institutions, namely the Aix-Marseille Université, the Université de Toulon and the Center National de la Recherche Scientifique (CNRS) has intensified since 2014 when CIFASIS was recognized by the CNRS as an L Associated International Laboratory ( LIA CIFASIS ).
